Qualifications

• Engineering degree or commercial degree with good technical knowledge
• Minimal 3-5 years' experience in operational and strategic purchasing
• Supply Chain Management experience in comparable industries and project-oriented solutions: discrete manufacturing industries; not in process industries (chemical, pharma, nutrition); not in pure service companies (as e.g. banking, insurance)
• Good knowledge of contract and local regulations and negotiation skill
• Fluent communication in English; in written and spoken
• Good and proven knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• SAP R3 MM (Material Management) with focus on purchasing transactions

Responsibilities

• Be a member of the Sales proposal team, establishing the Supply Plan and identifying materials to approach.
• Define suppliers to be requested with peers across functions including Category leads, Global Purchasing, and Local Project Team.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders on scope, requirements and specifications.
• Establish the Project Roadmap and keep quotes and pricing status transparent (ROM vs budget vs fixed pricing).
• Approach suppliers for quotes, pre-negotiations, final negotiations.
• Propose the budget calculation (PCO) per material to the Sales project team; ideally based on a fixed quote.
• Negotiate with suppliers to evaluate best price/performance ratio.
• Draft, review, and negotiate work contracts and other agreements as needed.
• Rate suppliers after project completion and manage reviews with Global Procurement.
• Share performance with the responsible Category Lead and support supplier audits.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and external partners for the project.
• Collaborate with Category Management and Global Procurement.
