Schaeffler is seeking a procurement professional to oversee custom machinery purchasing in a manufacturing setting. You will organize complex sourcing, negotiate terms, and manage vendor relations to align with project goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
Minimum one year of practical experience.
Experience in procurement and project purchasing.
Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
Strong project management and planning skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
US work authorization without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Oversee procurement activities for custom built machinery projects.
Organize complex purchasing projects with extensive requirement specifications or negotiations.
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and other contract aspects with vendors.
Define sourcing activities and execute project-related purchasing (incl. Make-or-Buy).
Source and evaluate vendors for mechanical, electrical, and automation components.
Take responsibility for component-specific cost validation and alignment.
Collaborate with interfaces along the supply chain and manage project changes.
Work with project teams to align purchasing with project goals.
