Job summary

KBR is seeking a seasoned Project & Joint Venture Accounting Manager to lead accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of large engineering projects and JVs. You will drive close processes, manage JV investments, and ensure ASC 606 compliance across complex contracts.

The role emphasizes strong business partnering with controls, project teams and external partners, while guiding continuous improvement in financial reporting and revenue recognition practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 7+ years’ experience in project accounting, joint venture accounting or construction accounting.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606.
• Experience with investment accounting (ASC 321/323) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close for projects and JVs.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and schedules.
• Ensure project accounting complies with US GAAP and KBR policies.
• Prepare monthly financial packages and management commentary.
• Analyze variances to budget/forecast and support balance sheet governance.
• Manage equity-method investments and JV statements.
• Oversee revenue recognition, backlog reporting and forecasts.
• Provide guidance to project accounting teams and JV partners.
