Job summary

Schwan’s Company in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to drive large-scale capital projects from concept through commissioning. You will lead the development of executable projects and align internal and external teams with the annual capital plan.

The role demands a mechanical/chemical/electrical/industrial engineering background, 2+ years of PM experience on multi-unit projects up to $1M, and proficiency with CAD systems. Competitive compensation offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (ABET accredited program preferred).
2+ years of project management support on multi-unit projects up to $1M in capital spend.
Experience leading PM activities, problem-solving, decision making, and effective communications.
Ability to train maintenance and production personnel and coordinate with vendors.
Proficient with CAD systems and understanding of drawing practices.
Basic knowledge of processing, packaging & facility systems in food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Provide project management services for infrastructure, utilities, grounds, and building projects.
Develop project design including line specs, budgets, schedules, and cash-flow forecasts.
Coordinate external engineering services with internal teams for project success.
Prepare specifications and solicit bids to secure best pricing.
Identify capex needs, layout optimization, equipment selection and timelines.
