Schwan’s Company in Pasadena, TX, seeks a Project Engineer to lead capital initiatives from concept through commissioning at our Asian plant. You’ll guide multi-discipline teams, manage budgets, and ensure alignment with the annual capital plan.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (ABET preferred).
2+ years of demonstrated successful project management support on multi-unit operation projects up to $1M.
Leadership, problem-solving, decision making, and strong communication skills.
Ability to train maintenance and production personnel and work with vendors.
Proficient in CAD systems and drafting practices; understand plant systems.
Knowledge of food manufacturing, engineering, quality and research functions.

Responsibilities

Provide project management services for engineering projects related to infrastructure, utilities, grounds, and buildings.
Develop overall project design including line specification, budgets, schedules, and capital requests.
Coordinate external engineering services and align with internal teams for project success.
Provide specifications, bid preparation, and bid solicitation to secure best pricing.
Identify and manage capital expenses, layout, equipment selection and timelines.
