Job summary

Capital One Group is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead mid-to-large scale programs, shaping strategies and directing teams to achieve on-time delivery. You will design adaptive plans in a fast-paced environment, ensuring governance and risk management while aligning with business goals.

Candidates should bring 8+ years of PM experience, 2+ years of people management, and relevant certifications (PMP/Lean/Agile/Six Sigma). An MBA is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of Project Management experience.
• At least 2 years of people management experience.
• 9+ years of Project Management experience.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• MBA is preferred.
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to teams, peers, and direct reports
• Design, develop, and adapt project plans in a fast-paced environment, revising requirements as needed to meet shifting goals
• Ensure comprehensive project documentation and governance to proactively manage risks and guarantee on-time delivery
• Leverage strong problem-solving and analytical skills to ensure project execution aligns with business intent
• Serve as a strategic and tactical thought partner to project customers and cross-functional teams to drive seamless delivery
• Build strong relationships and leverage outstanding communication skills to inform, align, and influence stakeholders at all levels across the company
• Quickly implement clear frameworks and organization to effectively manage work within complex workstreams
• Lead with a coaching mindset to mentor, develop, and grow a team of associates
