Job summary

The Atlantic Council seeks a proactive Assistant Director for the Global Energy Center (GEC) to provide high-level executive support to the VP of Energy and Infrastructure and to assist in day-to-day program management. The role includes scheduling, travel coordination, drafting materials, and supporting strategic engagements across the Middle East and energy sectors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in energy and related fields or adjacent disciplines.
2–4 years of relevant work experience in energy, policy, or international relations.
Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide executive support for the Vice President of Energy and Infrastructure.
Manage complex scheduling and calendar coordination.
Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements.
Draft remarks and briefing materials for public engagements.
Support the Director of Strategy and Operations with program management and team operations.
Organize and maintain files, documents, and confidential records.
Oversee financial close processes and vendor service agreements.
