Job summary

Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Senior Executive Officer, Special Programs to partner with Metro’s executive team and oversee agency-wide initiatives that cross departments. This role includes leadership of Employee & Labor Relations and the establishment of a new police union and collective bargaining agreement for Public Safety.

Qualifications

• Eight years of senior management experience in transportation operations, finance, planning or program management.
• Experience managing labor relations and bargaining for public safety personnel is preferred.
• Knowledge of MMBA and POBR is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cabinet chief to set goals and priorities.
• Oversee department operations including budget development and monitoring.
• Direct implementation of transit project goals, policies, work standards and controls.
• Represent Metro at meetings with officials and the community.
