Job summary

Los Angeles Metro is seeking a Senior Executive Officer, Special Programs to partner with the executive team on agency-wide initiatives. You will direct labor relations, oversee budget and policy, and drive cross-department programs to meet mobility goals across Los Angeles County.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience required; eight years of senior management-level experience in transportation operations, finance, planning and programming, and/or project or program management.
• Experience overseeing labor relations, including negotiation of collective bargaining agreements.
• Knowledge of California labor laws including MMBA and POBR is preferred.
• Ability to interact with governing boards, elected officials and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the cabinet chief to set goals, priorities, and strategies for Metro programs.
• Directs development and implementation of agency-wide initiatives across departments.
• Leads labor relations functions, including establishment of a new police union and collective bargaining agreement.
• Oversees budget development, policy analysis, and program performance.
• Represents Metro at meetings with officials, stakeholders and the community.
