Position Summary
The Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), within the Executive Office for Administration and Finance, supports diverse and small businesses across the Commonwealth and the United States. The SDO seeks a detail-oriented professional to serve as a Strategic Programs and Engagement Coordinator.
Reporting to the Director of Programs and Engagement, this role supports the Unit and Agency by implementing strategic initiatives and engagement efforts to advance SDO Programs. The Coordinator will execute and evaluate success of specific plans and strategies to maximize Unit and Agency priorities. Outreach/engagement campaigns and initiatives executed by the Coordinator will advance SDO programming as administrative need arises, such as our Empowering Abilities in Contracting and Employment (EACE) Program, Municipal Construction Aff#ative Marketing Program/Veteran Business Program (Construction Programs/MCAMP/VPB), SDO Certification, and events.
The Coordinator also attends events and meetings to represent the SDO, conducts follow-up one-on-one sessions as appropriate, and may schedule meetings, presentations, and plan events in furtherance of strategic initiatives on occasion. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to delivering efficient, accurate, and effective service to SDO’s constituents.

This full-time position is expected to follow a hybrid modelof reporting to work that combines in-office workdays and work from home days, as needed.
Salary placement is determined on an individual basis and is based on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, the National Association of Government Employees (NAGE) collective bargaining agreement, the Human Resources Division (HRD) Hiring Guidelines, and the agency's budget and available funding.
Salary: This position is classified as Grade 12 under NAGE, Bargaining Unit 6 salary schedule. The current biweekly salary range for Grade 12 is $2,831.38 (Step 1) to $4,092.37 (Step 14). New hires are appointed to a step within the grade based on the factors outlined above. Employees who remain in good standing are eligible for step increases in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement until they reach the maximum step for the grade.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the-required experience.*
II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*
III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
