Job summary

Based in Chicago, the role focuses on Jewish education, engagement, and Israel initiatives, guiding grantmaking and program development with strong leadership and collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have 10–12 years of experience, a strategic mindset, and excellent communication skills to work with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or commensurate experience preferred.
• 10–12 years in philanthropic, non-profit, or for-profit work with significant engagement in the Jewish communal sector.
• Ability to conceive and execute strategy and align tactical needs creatively and effectively.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, including ability to listen and synthesize inputs.
• Strong organizational and project management skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategy and goals with the Jewish and Israel Giving Team to guide the portfolio.
• Prepare grant dockets and analyses for Committee review and decision-making.
• Lead program development and engagement initiatives in Chicago’s Jewish ecosystem.
• Manage grant portfolios and monitor outcomes with dashboards and metrics.
• Cultivate partnerships with grantees and external stakeholders.
• Represent CFP to candidate organizations during site visits and meetings.
