Job description

Strategic Program Manager - OFAC Compliance

Location: Remote (Anywhere in the USA)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Create, maintain, and update program documentation for both global and OFAC compliance initiatives.
  2. Oversee the implementation of compliance action plans and ensure alignment with corporate policies and legal requirements.
  3. Conduct comprehensive risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities in global operations and OFAC compliance.
  4. Develop and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for global operations and the OFAC compliance program.
  5. Design and deliver tailored compliance training programs for internal stakeholders and key business units.
  6. Foster awareness of U.S. and global trade laws, OFAC sanctions, and regional regulatory requirements.
  7. Prepare detailed reports for senior leadership and regulatory authorities as needed.
  8. Define strategy, review and approve OFAC administrative subpoena responses, Voluntary Self-Disclosures, and blocking reports if necessary.
  9. Liaise with local leadership and teams to integrate compliance initiatives seamlessly into regional operations.
  10. Provide advice to the businesses on an ongoing basis on new business initiatives, new products, business acquisitions, and customer-related matters with respect to applicability of policies, resolution of potential red flags or other sanctions compliance risks.
  11. Interact with Senior Management to raise awareness of Sanctions trends, emerging issues, remedial actions or enhancements to the program.
  12. Design, deliver, and maintain best-in-class Sanctions Compliance practices.
  13. Serve as a mentor and teacher to the export compliance team, providing guidance on OFAC and global trade compliance matters to deepen their expertise and ensure effective application of regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, International Trade, or related field.
  2. 5-7 years of experience in U.S. and global trade compliance, OFAC regulations, and program management.
  3. Strong knowledge of U.S. and international trade laws, sanctions, and export controls.
  4. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate meetings with global teams operating in different time zones.
  5. Proficiency in compliance management tools and regulatory technologies.
  6. Values a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Preferred:

  1. Master’s degree in International Trade, or related field.
  2. Demonstrated analytical skills.
  3. Proven flexibility & adaptability.
  4. Possess high energy and positive attitude.
  5. Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  6. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.

Compensation Range: $83,500.00 - $185,400.00

The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
