Job summary

Nucor Fastener Indiana, part of Nucor Corporation, is seeking a Production Scheduler to balance customer demand with manufacturing capacity and inventory targets at the St. Joe site. This role partners with Operations, Commercial, Purchasing, and Finance to enable on-time delivery and efficient planning.

Candidates should have scheduling experience, ERP familiarity, and strong data skills to improve forecasting and inventory performance within a safety-conscious, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in production scheduling for a manufacturing operation.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and inventory planning.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules to support customer and operational requirements.
• Review demand, forecasts, and production capacity to create effective production plans.
• Monitor work center performance to identify capacity constraints, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Expedite production orders and coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve schedule disruptions, material shortages, and urgent customer needs.
• Maintain and validate planning, inventory, and master data within the ERP system to ensure scheduling accuracy and data integrity.
• Crosstrain and provide support for planning, scheduling, and inventory management activities as needed.
