Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Production Scheduler in Torrance, CA to drive manufacturing efficiency by building rate-driven schedules and forecasting material needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, prioritize, and meet daily and weekly production goals supporting long-term rate commitments.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree and 1+ year in scheduling or 3+ years in related roles, with hands-on ERP/MRP experience and proficiency in MS Office, SQL, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1+ year of experience in manufacturing scheduling, planning, or operations; or 3+ years in these areas.
• Hands-on experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office, VBA, Smartsheet, SQL, Confluence, JIRA, Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Support production scheduling for an assigned work center by determining part need dates, highlighting shortages, and forecasting long-range capacity and rate requirements.
• Develop and maintain rate-based schedules and identify constraints across at least six upcoming missions.
• Model multiple production scenarios and align stakeholders on optimal hardware allocation while balancing new vs refurbished hardware.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to define, monitor, and execute daily and weekly production objectives.
• Establish strong working relationships with internal suppliers and forecast hardware demand and delivery timelines.
• Identify and deploy automation opportunities within scheduling, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
• Reduce schedule risk by capacity analysis and leading improvement initiatives.
• Lead root-cause investigations for build issues affecting delivery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, quality, safety, cost reduction, and efficiency.
