Job summary

CyberCoders in Houston, TX seeks a Production Planner to develop and maintain master production schedules that meet customer demand while optimizing capacity and inventory. You will coordinate across procurement, manufacturing, quality and logistics to ensure timely materials and smooth production.

Responsibilities include monitoring schedules, performing MRP, analyzing forecasts, and driving continuous improvement in lead times and costs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in production planning or manufacturing planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and strong Excel for analysis and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or related field.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge (Kaizen, Six Sigma) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and communicate the master production schedule to meet customer delivery targets and minimize stockouts.
• Perform MRP and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of components and materials.
• Collaborate with production supervisors to evaluate capacity, prioritize orders and adjust schedules based on real-time shop-floor conditions.
• Monitor production progress and work orders; identify and resolve bottlenecks to maintain on-time delivery.
• Maintain planning data in ERP/MRP systems, including BOMs, routings and inventory records.
• Analyze demand forecasts, sales orders and historical data to drive planning decisions and update schedules.
• Manage inventory levels to balance service levels and carrying costs; optimize safety stock and reorder points.
• Present planning metrics (OTD, schedule adherence, inventory turns) and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with quality, engineering and logistics to handle production issues, changes, and new product introductions.
• Support planning for special projects, promotions and seasonal demand spikes; document changes to stakeholders.
