Job summary

Trillium-Engineering in Hood River, OR is seeking a Production Planner to develop, coordinate, and monitor detailed production schedules ensuring on-time delivery and optimal use of materials and capacity.

You will collaborate with material planning, procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams, interpret BOMs, manage ERP/MRP data, and create dashboards and KPIs to communicate risks and opportunities to leadership.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of multi-level BOM structures and how they influence planning and materials management.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; NetSuite preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, material availability, and production capacity.
• Interpret and manage multi-level BOMs to ensure accurate planning and material requirements.
• Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and material shortages.
• Collaborate with material planning, procurement, production, engineering, warehouse, and configuration management teams to ensure timely availability of materials and accurate data.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to communicate plan performance, risks, and recovery actions to senior leadership.
• Establish, track, and improve planning KPIs such as schedule adherence and capacity utilization.
• Anticipate potential bottlenecks and take proactive measures to prevent disruptions.
• Communicate production status to upper management to avoid surprises and maintain data integrity in ERP/MRP.
• Support continuous improvement projects to increase throughput and reduce downtime.
