Job summary

Schneider Electric seeks a Downstream Planning Leader to oversee production planning, scheduling, and inventory management, aligning capacity, material availability, and demand forecasts with business objectives while driving operational excellence.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Upstream Planning, Engineering, Logistics, Customer Service, and Operations to optimize throughput, lead times, and service levels through Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (see above)
• 3-10 years of experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Materials Management, or Demand Planning
• Experience in manufacturing with production scheduling, inventory planning, and capacity management
• Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems supporting planning and manufacturing operations
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage short-term and long-term production plans
• Create and maintain Master Production Schedules (MPS)
• Ensure material availability and inventory optimization
• Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Materials teams to support continuity
• Analyze capacity constraints and improve throughput
• Support workforce, tooling, and capacity planning
• Coordinate production priorities with multiple teams for SIOP
• Communicate production risks and recovery plans
• Monitor KPIs: schedule attainment, on-time delivery, inventory, capacity, service levels, lead times
• Drive Lean and Six Sigma-based continuous improvement
• Lead and develop planning and scheduling teams
