Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Production Planner on site in Chestnut Ridge, NY to plan, schedule, and release production work orders and monitor progress to meet delivery dates.

You will collaborate with production, materials, and shipping teams, use MRP/ERP systems, and ensure accurate records while adapting to priorities. A high school diploma is required; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter and update production forecasts in the MRP system.
• Plan, schedule, and prepare production work orders and release orders to the manufacturing floor.
• Consider manpower, equipment capacity, and material constraints; escalate when needed.
• Review sales orders for product availability and timing.
• Advise on order rescheduling for rush priorities or shortages.
• Coordinate with order management, purchasing, stockroom, and shipping for customer satisfaction.
• Track status of work-in-progress and produce progress reports.
• Provide guidance on production priorities and expediting as needed.
• Complete work orders and move inventory to finished goods.
• Perform periodic inventory of WIP and finished goods.
• Analyze data to support material supply and finished goods planning.
• Manage used equipment inventory and refurbishment progress.
• Review BOMs and routings for new products integration.
