Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Production Planner to join the Planning department on site in the United States. You will schedule assets in the ERP/MRP system, balance service with efficiency, and work cross-functionally with sales, customer service, marketing, and operations to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities include capacity planning, inventory strategy, and collaboration with leadership to optimize staffing and throughput while supporting continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Understanding of inventory management and demand planning methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to view, modify, and analyze reports.
• Self-motivated with a high level of personal drive.
• Willingness to learn and grow; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily schedules for assets in ERP/MRP, balancing service and efficiency.
• Manage short- and mid-term capacity outlook; identify bottlenecks to solve.
• Coordinate staffing levels, overtime, and downtime with leaders weekly.
• Oversee inventory strategy to deliver service at lowest cost.
• Make rerouting and outsourcing decisions; maintain OSP relationships.
• Provide competitive dates to customer service and ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with planning team to problem-solve and support peers.
• Generate work and purchase orders in response to demand.
• Work with sales/marketing on seasonal changes and launches.
• Assist R&D in scheduling trials to unlock growth potential.
• Adapt to changing business needs and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with supply chain functions to execute improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
