Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in materials management or related field.
• 2–5 years related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with MRP and capacity planning is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule workflow for assigned production plant and operations according to routing sequences and lead time.
• Interface with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service to coordinate the shipping schedule.
• Coordinate with production employees and MFG Engineer for shop floor activities, select alternative methods / process to meet overall schedules, and improve efficiency in Manufacturing.
• Schedules, expedites, and coordinates the delivery and movement of critical material, including material transfers and material deviation releases.
• Release plating and secondary orders as needed.
• Working with MRP and throughput module to produce accurate schedule for assigned product lines.
• Releases production orders commensurate with inventory goals, cost objectives, and production capacity.
• Ensures all parties are fully cognizant of production status, and that work planning and execution objectives are integrated and communicated.
• Familiarity with the workings of MRP and capacity planning a plus.
• Assist operation manager for labor reporting and other shop floor related duties.
• Improve transportation program by optimizing freight cost, expedite cost, and delivery to meet customer requirements.
