Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines in Elko, NV is seeking a Buyer to join our Supply Chain team. You will secure timely, cost-effective, and compliant materials by managing sourcing, vendor relationships, and delivery processes while maintaining accurate data.

The position emphasizes collaboration, adherence to procurement standards, and continuous improvement to support operations and sustainability across our Nevada operations.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of procurement experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's in Business or related field preferred.
• Familiar with fundamental procurement concepts and processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Procurement Execution (P2P / Negotiation): Ensure successful procurement of goods through effective supply agreements in terms of costs, quality, quantity, warranty, and consistency in availability.
• Sourcing: Acquire materials according to operation requirements, achieving best total cost of ownership and quality; source using SAP Ariba where applicable.
• Vendor / Supplier Management: Maintain relationships with key suppliers and ensure compliance with supply, delivery, e-Business, and invoicing requirements.
• Operational & Logistics Management: Coordinate expediting, ensure correct incoterms, and monitor open POs to support continuity of supply.
• Data, Systems, And Reporting: Maintain purchasing data, use ERP dashboards, and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Site-Specific Responsibilities: Administer purchase requisitions, ensure timely service, and identify potential vendors.
• General: Be available for after-hours procurement, participate in training, and uphold ESG policies.
