The role emphasizes strategic supplier management, cost reduction, and cross-functional collaboration with quality teams to maintain high standards and reliable supply chains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in a procurement or purchasing role within the fastener distribution industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of purchasing professionals.
• Cultivate and manage supplier relationships and negotiate complex agreements.
• Analyze inventory data to optimize stocking levels and reduce carrying costs.
• Oversee high-value contracts with suppliers and ensure compliance with terms.
• Conduct price analyses and total cost of ownership assessments for cost savings.
• Collaborate with quality teams to ensure product quality standards.
• Stay informed on industry trends to guide purchasing decisions.
• Mentor other procurement team members and develop their growth.
• Generate reports on procurement metrics and cost savings for management.
• Support strategic initiatives to improve procurement efficiency.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and process improvements.
