Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Manager, Procurement to lead strategy, planning, sourcing, inventory management and logistics for reliable, cost-effective delivery of goods and services. This hybrid role will support multiple sites including Yulee, FL, with a focus on continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

You will develop a team of supply chain professionals, collaborate with senior leaders, optimize-cost initiatives, and ensure risk mitigation and contingency planning

Qualifications

• : Bachelors degree required;
• : Masters degree or CPSM preferred;
• 7+ years in supply chain/procurement/operations in utilities/energy;
• 3+ years in leadership managing teams;
• Experience leading strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations;
• Knowledge of ERP and procurement technologies;
• Strong stakeholder management and regulatory compliance experience;
• Analytical skills to interpret data and improve operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise supply chain and procurement strategies aligned with objectives.
• Lead end-to-end procurement operations including sourcing, purchasing, contract management, and supplier governance.
• Advise on sourcing strategies and competitive bidding (RFQ, RFP, ITB).
• Direct strategic sourcing initiatives and complex negotiations to optimize cost and terms.
• Establish and manage supplier relationships with performance monitoring and risk mitigation.
• Oversee inventory management and forecasting for operations and emergencies.
• Ensure availability of critical materials for infrastructure and capital projects.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions and ensure compliance.
• Lead, develop, and mentor supply chain staff; drive continuous improvement.
