Job summary

OMG Inc. is seeking a seasoned Procurement Buyer to manage purchasing of materials, equipment and services for its western Massachusetts operations.

You will negotiate terms with vendors, manage supplier relationships, and work closely with engineering and production to meet cost and timing targets. The role requires 5+ years in procurement, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a procurement position (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Ability to prioritize well, communicates clearly, and influence cross functional teams effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to qualify and manage vendors effectively.
• Strong negotiation skills and ethics in supplier relationships.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety as a priority for all OMG employees.
• Purchase and negotiate materials, equipment and outside services to meet service levels and goals.
• Coordinate receiving and stocking of materials; ensure proper inspections.
• Collaborate with suppliers and quality to resolve issues and maintain 98% fill rate.
• Support NPD teams from design through launch and monitor supplier performance.
• Monitor KPIs and manage vendor lead times, MOQs, and reorder points.
