Position Purpose

Support small supplier negotiations and contracting with suppliers on behalf of internal customers; assist in large negotiations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute Request for Information and Request for Proposals (RFI, RFP) to understand market dynamics and the supplier’s position within the market
  • Support business initiatives by engaging with internal business owners and suppliers on small contract negotiations
  • Lead tactical negotiations on small impact contracts, with support on strategy, technique and messaging
  • Connect with internal customers to identify business needs and develop scope of project
  • Understand and communicate SS&P goals and how the standard strategic sourcing process supports these goals
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; 1+ years of experience in project management or negotiations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in procurement, sourcing, or buying roles (e.g., Sourcing I or Buyer)
  • Exposure to working with executive leadership (Director level and above)
  • Familiarity with healthcare or information technology industries
  • Experience using procurement-related software tools such as Coupa and Beeline

Work Location & Schedule

Applicants have the flexibility to work remotely from home anywhere within the continental United States. The ideal schedule is CST. Additional teams may be added as hiring needs evolve.

Compensation

Pay Range: $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year
