Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation in Orlando is seeking a procurement professional responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing machinery, equipment, parts, and services to support operations. You will analyze supplier performance, price trends, and opportunities to reduce cost while maintaining quality and schedule.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, experience with defense procurement, knowledge of FAR/DFAR, and strong negotiation and contract skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience / combined education
• Experience with the procurement of electrical, electronic and electromechanical components and hardware within defense industry
• Working knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as LMAP and thorough knowledge of FAR/DFAR acquisition policies
• Negotiation experience
• Working knowledge of standard contract types

Responsibilities

• Sources, negotiates and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.
• Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.
• Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
• Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.
• May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
