Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd seeks a Procurement Specialist to support MDR business activities by performing materials procurement within policy and budget. You will interface with PMT, Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Safety, Accounting, and Warehouse, while developing supplier relationships and maintaining market awareness.

Responsibilities include RFQ execution, bid evaluations, vendor qualification, and PO administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; 5–7 years in procurement.
• Experience purchasing permanent plant material (mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil/structural).
• Demonstrates knowledge of the procurement process and can communicate commercial solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement of materials in support of MDR business activities within policy and budget.
• Interface with PMT, Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Safety, Accounting, and Warehouse.
• Procure materials with understanding of requisition requirements and international standards.
• Develop and maintain a vendor base; monitor market trends and supplier performance.
• Place POs with selected vendors and provide PO administration as needed.
