Job summary

Eastern Industrial Supplies, Inc. is seeking a results-oriented procurement professional to lead strategic purchasing, vendor management, and data-driven sourcing decisions.

You will evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to optimize cost and delivery. The role supports procurement operations across branches, including PO lifecycle, stock transfers, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, Warehouse, and Accounting teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 1+ years working with large data sets.
• 3-7+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic purchasing plans aligned with inventory needs and sales forecasts.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and responsiveness.
• Monitor vendor performance (pricing, lead times, fill rates) and address issues proactively.
• Assist in creation, issuance, and management of Divvy cards for the sales team and manage PO lifecycle.
