Talentify is seeking a Buyer to lead procurement and supplier relationships across two sites in Queens, NY. The role focuses on transitioning to a unified, data-driven sourcing model with forecast-driven purchasing and cost optimization.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in business or related field and extensive ERP/MRP experience, strong analytics, and a track record in supply chain management. This onsite role offers growth and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or equivalent.
• 35 years of purchasing experience and 12 years of contracting experience.
• Hands-on ERP software experience with in-depth MRP knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights.
• Familiarity with total cost analysis concepts in procurement or supply chain.
• Excellent understanding of statistics for safety stock to meet service levels.
• Experience with ERP forecasting software for demand planning and forecast‑driven purchasing.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated track record in supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities and supplier relationships for two sites.
• Support the Director of Strategic Sourcing in integrating legacy processes into standardized systems.
• Drive process standardization and coordinate supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance.
• Develop multi‑category product knowledge and understand market conditions.
• Perform data analyses to identify opportunities to leverage scale and drive cost savings.
• Execute purchase orders in alignment with forecasts to minimize expediting.
• Establish and maintain master data including lead times, MOQs, pricing, and suppliers.
• Transition manual purchasing to standardized, system‑driven workflows.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and contract alignment.
• Develop inventory turns to meet goals and service levels.
• Support contracting with regional direct and indirect suppliers.
• Manage Approved Supplier List and supplier performance tracking.
• Apply total cost analysis to sourcing decisions and costs.
• Follow safety, environmental, and ethics guidelines.
