KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting in the Greater Portland area is partnering with a well-established organization to identify an experienced Procurement & Risk Manager who will oversee vendor management, purchasing, risk management, insurance, contract support, and process improvement.

This broad role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in procurement or risk management, with strong negotiation and data-analysis skills to drive cost-saving initiatives and better risk outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, risk management, insurance, vendor management, or related field.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing vendors and service providers.
• Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations based on risk and financial information.
• Strong understanding of contracts, compliance, and risk management practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage organizational insurance programs and support ongoing risk assessment and mitigation efforts.
• Analyze claims, exposure, and loss information to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Develop and manage vendor sourcing and bidding processes, including evaluating proposals and negotiating pricing and terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, service providers, insurance partners, and other external stakeholders.
• Support contract review and ensure purchasing and vendor agreements meet organizational requirements.
• Develop and maintain procedures, guidelines, and training related to risk management and purchasing.
• Partner with internal departments and leadership to improve purchasing practices, manage risk, and support efficient operations.
• Manage budgets and reporting related to insurance, procurement, and organizational risk.
• Research regulations, policies, and other requirements and help ensure compliance.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on vendor, purchasing, insurance, and risk-related matters.
