Job summary

CITGO Petroleum Corporation is a leader in the refining industry with terminals and pipelines nationwide. The role focuses on procuring materials and services for the Terminals & Pipelines Business Unit, supervising procurement staff, and applying strategic sourcing to achieve best value for CITGO.

The position emphasizes supplier negotiation, contract writing, and driving lower total cost of ownership while ensuring safety, quality and delivery requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or business‑related degree or similar with 8 years of job‑related experience or 12 years of job‑related experience in lieu of degree.
• Computer skills including SAP, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience writing contracts for materials/services.
• Sourcing, procurement & inventory control techniques.
• Project management skills.
• Team building, delegating, goal development and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities supporting terminal operations, pipeline operations, storage facilities, and related logistics activities for the Business Unit to ensure the needs of internal customers are met.
• Develop or oversee sourcing strategies, lead supplier bids, negotiate terms and award contracts.
• Collaborate with terminals, locations and corporate functions to implement value‑driving procurement practices and coordinate with internal customers.
