Job summary

Sterling Technologies Inc. based in Wixom, Michigan, is seeking a Procurement Manager to source and manage the supply of custom wire harness components and related materials to support production.

You will work with suppliers, engineering, production, quality, and planning teams to ensure availability, cost competitiveness, on-time delivery, and supplier performance. Qualifications

• Degree preferred in supply chain or related field.
• 3+ years in purchasing/procurement in manufacturing.
• Experience buying electrical/electronic/electromechanical components preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and Microsoft Excel.
• APICS/CPM/CPSM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to balance cost, quality, lead time, and inventory levels.
• Review MRP requirements and issue purchase orders to ensure supply.
• Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and cost.
• Expedite critical materials to support production schedules.
• Maintain purchasing records in the ERP/MRP system.
• Support ECOs and new product introductions by sourcing materials.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering to qualify new suppliers.
• Generate supplier scorecards and KPI reports.
