Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Normal, IL is seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to lead the company's procurement strategy, supplier management, and sourcing initiatives. You will partner with Operations, Planning, Engineering, and Finance to align procurement with production schedules and long‑term growth.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in procurement within manufacturing, strong negotiation skills, and ERP/MRP experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent experience considered.
7+ years progressive procurement experience in manufacturing.
3+ years leadership of procurement teams.
Experience in electronics manufacturing services or complex manufacturing.
ERP/MRP systems experience required; Global Shop Solutions a plus.
Strong strategic sourcing, negotiation, contract mgmt, inventory mgmt.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to support cost, quality, delivery, and growth.
Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships and assess performance, capacity, quality, risk.
Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, lead times, inventory programs, and terms.
Conduct supplier reviews and implement corrective actions when needed.
Identify cost savings through supplier consolidation and value analysis.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Planning, Quality, Finance, and PM to support production requirements.
Optimize inventory levels while maintaining delivery performance.
Lead procurement continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Develop and track procurement KPIs including supplier performance and material availability.
Serve as ERP/MRP process owner; maintain planning parameters and scheduling rules.
Ensure ERP data integrity and support system enhancements.
Participate in SIOP activities to balance demand and capacity.
Review forecasts and develop supply strategies to minimize shortages.
Develop and maintain procurement policies and governance.
