Job summary

gobravvo in Houston, TX is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage the full procurement lifecycle for plant operations. You will own P2P and S2P processes, negotiate with suppliers, and administer RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs to ensure timely, cost‑effective sourcing.

You will work with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to source MRO items, capital equipment, contract labor, and industrial supplies, while maintaining ISO and safety compliance and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years purchasing or procurement experience.
• Background in manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, refinery, or heavy industrial environments.
• Comprehensive experience managing full P2P and S2P processes.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing MRO materials, capital equipment, contract labor, and industrial supplies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the P2P process for assigned purchasing categories.
• Source and negotiate plant materials and services, including MRO, capital equipment, contract labor, and industrial supplies.
• Manage spot purchases up to $500,000, including capital equipment acquisitions.
• Prepare and administer RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Evaluate and negotiate supplier proposals, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Create and maintain purchase orders, blanket orders, and supplier agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any delivery, quality, or service issues.
• Collaborate with internal departments to meet all plant purchasing needs.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, safety standards, and ISO requirements.
• Maintain thorough purchasing records and documentation.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives and process enhancements.
