Job summary

Evolving Solution Services in Houston, TX, is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee the purchase of bulk materials, equipment, and services. You will issue POs, manage supplier performance, and align purchasing with project schedules and cost goals.

The role requires leadership, ASME awareness, and strong data literacy. Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering, proposal, and site operations, maintaining vendor records, and supervising procurement staff while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Construction experience in bulk equipment purchasing.
• Supply management experience.
• Minimum five years procurement experience and ten years supervisory experience.
• Understanding of ASME industry codes and standards.
• Computer software literacy.

Responsibilities

• Issuance of purchase orders and blanket purchase orders for bulk materials and services.
• POs over 270k; coordinate with vendor and track completion percentage for forecasting.
• Material take offs, bidding and order placement for bulk material.
• Purchase engineered equipment and instrumentation based on RFQ from engineering.
• Route quotations to engineering for approval to purchase engineered equipment and services.
• Communicate material issues to suppliers when problems arise.
• Define material requirements and documentation per project specs.
• Assist proposals with material pricing and availability.
• Support design and engineering in specifying materials with cost considerations.
• Design verification of drawings prior to issued for construction.
• Departmental staff recruitment, development, training and management.
• Train new buyers with BC responsibilities; support site operations.
• Maintain supplier registry and Certificates of Insurance for vendors.
