Job summary

Ferrovial Services Australia is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team in Woodlands NSW. You will report directly to the Procurement Manager and lead purchasing procedures, vendor negotiations, and contract administration across multiple projects in the heavy civil sector.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 2 years of procurement or field engineering experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial) or another relevant procurement discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of Field Engineering or Procurement experience, preferably in Heavy Civil Construction.
  • Travel requirements: 10% regional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Procurement Manager.
  • Manage, implement, and train purchasing procedures and policy.
  • Participate in Buyout Meetings to prioritize project-specific purchases and establish a procurement plan.
  • Negotiate and prepare contracts, purchase orders, consultant agreements and amendments.
  • Analyze vendor quotations and coordinate agreements from approvals through execution.
  • Perform quote comparisons based on price, quality, service, and vendor reliability.
  • Communicate impacts of market changes and adjust procurement strategies.
  • Track and report all project purchases.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Provide guidance to project teams and estimators.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial)
