Job summary

Webber, LLC, a Ferrovial company, is seeking a Procurement Specialist for the Woodlands, TX site. You will report to the Procurement Manager and help manage purchasing procedures across multiple projects. Responsibilities include bid analysis, contract drafting, and supplier relationship development.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field and 2+ years in procurement or field engineering within heavy civil construction. Travel about 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 2 years of Field Engineering or Procurement experience in heavy civil construction; +2 years in project management, estimating, or procurement on $3M–$100M projects.
• Travel requirements: 10% regional travel for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Procurement Manager.
• Develop, implement, and train purchasing procedures and policy.
• Participate in Buyout Meetings to prioritize project purchases and establish a procurement plan.
• Negotiate and prepare contracts, PO's, consultant agreements, and amendments.
• Analyze vendor quotations and coordinate contracts through internal approvals to execution.
• Compare quotes on price, quality, service, availability, and vendor history.
• Communicate market changes and adjust strategies to meet procurement goals.
• Track and report all project purchases.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
• Provide guidance to project teams and estimators.
