Job summary

Overhead Door Corporation is seeking a Senior Buyer (Finance) to lead procurement for the Motion Access business, managing current suppliers while identifying better-priced sources and aligned supply options. The role focuses on ensuring material availability for orders, reducing total cost, and improving lead times.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in purchasing or sourcing, with ERP/MRP experience (Oracle a plus) and knowledge of tariffs, supplier risk, and procurement documentation.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of purchasing, strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, materials planning, or supply chain experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent practical experience may substitute for formal education.
• CPM, CPSM, APICS/ASCM, Lean, or related supply chain certification preferred.
• Experience sourcing alternate suppliers, negotiating pricing, evaluating domestic supply options, mitigating tariff exposure, supporting supplier transitions, and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage Motion Access suppliers, purchase orders, pricing files, lead times, acknowledgments, backorders, delivery commitments, and supplier performance.
• Source, evaluate, and qualify alternate suppliers to improve pricing, delivery and terms; support tariff mitigation and domestic sourcing.
• Lead procurement activities including quote solicitation, bid comparison, cost analysis, negotiation support, and supplier selection documentation.
• Develop and maintain supplier profiles covering capabilities, origin, content, capacity, lead times, terms, and risk factors.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate spend, reduce variance, improve terms, and lower freight and expedite costs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Planning, Finance, Customer Service, and Integration teams for changes and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Support procurement of custom parts, electronics, motor/gearbox assemblies, and tooling-related items.
• Monitor supplier market conditions, tariff developments, and potential disruptions affecting material availability and cost.
