Job summary

Formica Corporation is seeking a Procurement Director, North America to lead the procurement strategy and supplier management for roughly $130 million in direct and indirect spend. You will own sourcing, supplier negotiations, contracts, and risk mitigation while partnering with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to drive measurable savings and resilience.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record in category management, and experience in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, finance, or a related field.
• MBA or professional certification preferred.
• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, with complex negotiations.
• Proven savings delivery, contract management, supplier performance, and risk mitigation.
• Strong analytical, financial, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Manufacturing and raw-material category experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement and category strategies for North American spend.
• Lead procurement team, setting goals and developing talent.
• Lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, terms, service levels, and protections.
• Deliver measurable savings and value through strategic sourcing and supplier optimization.
• Own supplier identification, qualification, onboarding, and governance.
• Manage third‑party purchasing, purchase‑order governance, and issue escalation.
• Build procurement capability and accountability for savings, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder support.
• Manage supplier performance via scorecards, reviews, corrective actions, and escalation.
• Strengthen critical-material resilience through alternate sources and risk-mitigation plans.
• Lead commercial resolution of raw-material claims and recovery actions.
• Provide market intelligence, commodity cost models, PPV analysis, and inflation forecasts.
• Partner with manufacturing and functional teams on supplier innovation and product launches.
