You will assess spend and develop strategies to optimize value across business units. The role requires 7+ years in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage contracts and supplier relationships in a global context.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 7 or more years of procurement/strategic sourcing experience.
• Experience presenting to senior management.
• Strong strategic, independent thinking.
• Experience with contract terms and conditions.
• Strong project management, facilitation, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build strategic supplier and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies to optimize business efficiency.
• Perform category management for sourcing, supplier relationships, contract performance, and risk management.
• Collaborate with business partners to understand spend and identify value opportunities.
• Identify procurement solutions that deliver savings and process efficiencies.
• Maintain contractual and business relationships with vendors.
• Develop knowledge of global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations.
• Plan and execute effective negotiation processes with vendors.
• Support procurement functions in Vizient’s ERP system as needed.
