Job summary

The Columbus Regional Airport Authority is seeking a procurement professional to lead the purchase of goods and services for the organization, ensuring compliance and best-value contracts. Minimum three years in public procurement, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and ability to negotiate terms are required.

The role involves coordinating with multiple departments, approvals in Workday, and managing vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Contract Management, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in public procurement.
• Ability to interpret, use, and negotiate contractual terms, conditions, and pricing.
• Pre-employment drug test required (drug testing includes marijuana; medical marijuana cards are not acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Lead solicitations for the purchase of related goods and services, including creating solicitation and contract documents, developing requirements, managing selection teams and project schedules, evaluating bids and proposals, and negotiating contract awards with vendors.
• Coordinate procurement activities with other departments, business purchasers, or end users.
• Approve decentralized purchases, including approving Purchase Orders in Workday and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
• Negotiate or re-negotiate contractual terms with vendors and monitor contract expirations for assigned departments.
• Facilitate contract renewals and monitor vendor performance; manage procurement planning with end user departments.
• Manage documents in accordance with records retention policies and support responses to public record requests and vendor disputes or protests.
