Job summary

The Louisiana Board of Regents seeks a Purchasing & Procurement Specialist to provide procurement, purchasing, and contracting services for LUMCON, based at Cocodrie, LA. You will manage purchase orders, draft contracts, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of purchasing processes, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with purchasing, procurement, or grants/contracts administration.
• Experience with LaGov ERP system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure goods and services, review and execute purchase orders.
• Prepare, execute, track, and renew contracts for LUMCON.
• Serve as procurement expert from request to receipt of goods.
• Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Resolve vendor payment issues and track project expenses.
