Job summary

Blue Cross of Idaho is seeking a Procurement Contract Manager to collaborate with internal partners on supplier negotiations, contracting activities and lifecycle management. The role focuses on risk mitigation, alignment with business objectives, and driving cost-effective supplier agreements at the Meridian corporate office.

The candidate should have five years of contract management experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Five years of contract management experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Healthcare/health insurance industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support supplier contracting activity with Business Owners.
• Draft, review, redline and negotiate supplier agreements and related documents.
• Coordinate with Business Owners on RFX planning, supplier research, evaluations, and notifications.
• Understand business needs, pricing models, service expectations, and risk in agreements.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, IT/Cybersecurity, Risk, Finance to resolve contract issues and approvals.
• Assess contract terms for financial, operational, regulatory, privacy and cybersecurity risk.
• Identify opportunities to improve supplier value and reduce costs.
• Maintain awareness of supplier portfolio, renewals, and category needs for proactive support.
• Serve as a SME for supplier market insights and negotiation approaches.
