Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions, Inc. in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Buyer/Purchasing Agent (Intermediate) for a 14-month onsite contract.

You will support procurement activities, negotiate terms with suppliers, and manage relationships to meet labor portfolio needs across Consulting, Staff Augmentation, Third Party Call Center, and BPO contracts.

Ideal candidates have 4 years of procurement experience, strong contract negotiation skills, and excellent communication and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in procurement strategy, including planning, sourcing, solutioning, and supplier relationship management.
• 2 years of experience negotiating and authoring contracts, terms and conditions, and pricing.
• Solid written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all phases in the development of moderately complex acquisitions of third-party and affiliate solutions.
• Consult on statements of work, create requests for proposals, identify qualified suppliers, evaluate proposals, and conduct negotiations.
• Design and execute moderately complex sourcing plans aligned with business strategy.
• Interpret provisions and terms of low to moderate-risk contracts.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and specifications for third-party solutions.
• Provide consultation to achieve savings, quality, and cost-avoidance targets.
