Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking an IT Commodity Management Co-Op in the United States. You will work across commodities and coordinates a virtual team to optimize savings, define strategy, and ensure cost-efficient material supply.

You will negotiate contracts and share updates to project participants while identifying procurement risks and opportunities. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a related Bachelor's program with a 3.0 GPA (preferred) and eligible to participate in a university co-op.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, majoring in Supply Chain Management, or any Business field (rising senior preferred).
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred).
• Registered and eligible to participate in a co-op through your university.

Responsibilities

• Manage (Sub) Commodities cross-business and align with Management.
• Coordinate a virtual/line management team to achieve savings and optimal conditions.
• Define commodity structure, organization and strategy; implement material productivity measures.
• Communicate strategies for long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials.
• Negotiate frame contracts and document them in Supplier Management IT-systems.
• Share procurement-related information to keep project participants up to date.
• Identify procurement risks and opportunities and manage risk and change.
• Perform Supplier Management and development to ensure the best suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manages (Sub) Commodities cross-business (for specific material field) or for one business, and fosters cross-functional alignment.
• Coordinates and manages a virtual/line management team to achieve optimum conditions and savings through collaborative, targeted activities and to increase profit from global and cross-business or sourcing for one business.
• Defines (Sub) Commodity structure, organization and strategy in alignment with Management; develops and implements material productivity measures to achieve the maximum contribution to the targets.
• Communicates the strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials.
• Negotiates frame contracts; defines core assortment; documents frame contracts in relevant Supplier Management IT-systems.
• Forwards systematically all relevant Procurement related project information (e.g. updated contractual conditions, Supplier Management data) to keep all project participants up to date.
• Identifies particular procurement risks, opportunities and market forces to avoid potential damage/ exploit potential opportunities through risk and change management.
• Performs Supplier Management, in particular Supplier Development to obtain and develop the best suppliers and to ensure an optimum supply chain

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is

$47,840 - $68,411

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
