Total Quality Logistics is seeking a Purchasing Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing across Sales, Finance, Recruiting, and HR. You will mentor a team of sourcing specialists, drive category excellence, and shape vendor performance while ensuring cost efficiency and compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with senior leaders, delivering measurable savings, and advancing procurement capabilities in a fast-paced logistics environment in Cincinnati.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or related field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to present to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated negotiation and contract management expertise.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, formulas, visualization).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with department and company objectives.
• Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiate favorable terms, ensure performance and compliance.
• People Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of sourcing specialists, set priorities, drive high performance.
• Contract Management: Oversee drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts to meet standards.
• Spend Analysis: Monitor and analyze spend to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure budget adherence.
• Collaboration: Partner with VPs, Directors, and stakeholders to support business needs.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement risks including supply chain disruptions.
• Market Research: Monitor trends and technologies to inform purchasing decisions.
• Reporting: Prepare and present procurement activity, spend analysis, and vendor performance to senior management.
