Job summary

Colt is seeking a Buyer to join a centralized procurement team in Texas. You will process requisitions, source and place purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers to expedite materials.

You will verify documentation, match PO to bill of lading, negotiate terms, solicit pricing via RFPs, and participate in vendor performance evaluations. 2–3 years experience and college degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or college degree preferred
• Experience communicating at all levels of the organization
• NetSuite ERP experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions, source, and place purchase orders.
• Coordinate with suppliers to expedite materials on order.
• Verify documentation including packing slips for items received.
• Match PO to bill of lading and process receipt of goods transactions.
• Negotiate pricing and payment terms to obtain the best overall pricing.
• Request and obtain RFPs from vendors and perform bid analysis.
• Participate in the vendor performance evaluation process.
• Administer a fleet of 300+ trucks and assist drivers with platform access and utilization.
