Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in procurement field or related experience.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with particular attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with user departments and key external stakeholders.
• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office and enterprise ERP system and e‑mail required.
• Experience using SAP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Creates RFQ and communicates with vendors to select based on price, service and ability to meet production needs.
• Processing invoices for all orders and ensuring orders are received.
• Processes purchase requisitions from internal departments and ensures proper approvals before ordering.
• Identifies issues arising from the supply of materials and services with vendors and requisitioner.
• Works with team to identify damaged shipments and follows up with suppliers.
• Monitors, evaluates, and analyzes vendor performance to ensure quality and delivery requirements.
• Manages supplier relationships and updates management on issues with vendors.
• Performs new material cost evaluation for management review.
• Takes on additional tasks when other departmental staff are absent.
• Ensures all business activities comply with the Canadian Solar Code of Business Conduct.
• Supports ISO 9001 activities.
• Adheres to environmental, health and safety rules and policies.
• Quarterly and yearly data collection is preferred.
