Job summary

CS Power Systems is seeking a procurement professional to manage RFQs, vendor communications, and cost evaluations to meet production needs for solar solutions.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, ability to work in a team or independently, and experience with MS Office and ERP systems; adherence to quality standards and EH&S rules is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create RFQs and select vendors based on price, service and production fit.
• Process invoices for all orders and ensure orders are received.
• Process purchase requisitions with proper approvals.
• Identify and communicate supply issues with vendors and requisitioners.
• Monitor vendor performance to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Maintain supplier relationships and update management on issues.
• Support ISO 9001 activities and adhere to EH&S rules.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Creates request for quotation (RFQ); Communicates with vendors and selects vendors based on price, service and ability to meet production needs
• Processing Invoices for all orders and ensuring orders are received
• Processes purchase requisitions from internal departments and ensure proper approvals have been given prior to placing items on order
• Identifies and communicates issues arising from the supply of materials and services with both the vendor and internal requisitioner.
• Works with team members to identify instances of damaged shipments, including addressing and following up with suppliers and requisitioner.
• Monitors, evaluates, and analyzes vendor performance to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met
• Manages supplier relationships and update management on any issues with vendors
• Performs new material cost evaluation for management review
• Takes on additional tasks when other departmental staff are absent
• Ensures that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
• Supports ISO 9001 activities
• Adheres to all environmental, health and safety rules and policies
• Quarterly and Yearly data collection is preferred.

Requirements
