Job summary

Aston Carter in Stratford, CT is seeking a Procurement Analyst for a 1-year contract. You will develop subcontract specifications, prepare bid packages, negotiate terms, and administer subcontracts in SAP and MRP environments.

You will source materials, analyze price trends, manage supplier performance, and coordinate with internal teams. This onsite role requires travel and a strong background in procurement and contract management.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement and purchasing.
• Proficiency with SAP and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
• Experience in contract management and procurement analysis.
• Strong skills in supplier performance and management.
• Project management capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Procure detail parts and assemblies from engineering drawings in an MRP and SAP system.
• Source and purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies for operations.
• Analyze data to determine feasibility of buying products and establish price objectives.
• Stay informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
• Confer with suppliers to analyze operations and factors affecting prices to ensure lowest cost with quality.
• Review proposals, negotiate prices, select suppliers, and maintain records.
• Collaborate with internal and external departments and customers.
• Prepare bid packages as needed.
• Travel may be required.
